If you’re like me, when someone compliments you - you instinctively say something self-deprecating and shrug it off. It’s no big deal, right? I’ve been doing this as long as I can remember till I read this tweet that hit me like a truck.
Words have power and I’ve been discounting myself for a long time. Odds are, you are too. Time to water your flowers. Next time someone compliments you, instead of deflecting just say ‘Thank you’
